NEW YORK TIMES FEB 13 1953 Juliana Stresses Flood Tours Special to The New York Times. BAARN, the Netherlands, Feb. 12Queen Juliana has decided to give as much time as possible dur ing the rest of 1953 to "working visits" to the flood region and has canceled a series of other calls, the palace announced today. The Queen was also said to be desirous of avoiding "festive" re ceptions for her because among other reasons she felt the money "can now better be put to other uses." The Queen has been touring the flood rea almost daily. On a visit to Middelharnis on Overflakkee Island she was heard to say im patiently to a woman who addressed her as "Your Majesty": "This is not the time for majesty! You can call me madame." Relief Effort Continues Money, food and clothing con tinued yesterday to be sent by or ganizations to Europe's flood- stricken areas. Emergency funds totaling $20,000, plus $33,734 worth of food, clothing and blankets, have been forwarded through Church World Service. The Congress of Industrial Or ganizations' community services committee donated $1,000 for dis tribution of CARE blanket and clothing textile packages to the Netherlands. Dutch Flood Relief, an organization at 72 Wall Street, announced that Senator Herbert H. Lehman of New York had do nated $400. It reported also that the United States Treasury had ruled flood relief gifts to be tax deductible. The New York Times carries more financial advertising than any other publication in the world be cause it brings advertisers better results.
