a Valentine drive for Nether
lands flood relief in front of the
Statler Hotel.

tines this year, with money en
closed, to help flood victims. Con
tributions should be sent to Hol
land Flood Relief, the "Nether
lands-American Foundation, 1140
15th st. nw., which is 'sponsoring
the drive.
Contributions of money and
clothing also are being accepted
by Holland Flood Relief c/o the
Netherlands Embassy, 1470 Eu
clid st. nw. Embassy officials
stress that there is a greater need
for money than supplies.
A 28-hour flood relief fund ap
peal over radio station WOL,
ending yesterday, netted over
$1000 in pledges, according to
station officials. Cash contribu
tions from the Washington area
now exceed $4500, the Nether
lands Embassy reported.
The first shipment of American
relief supplies to the Nether
lands left New York Saturday
night aboard the Dutch liner
Westerdam.
Frank Goldman, International
president of B'naai B'rith, will
present a contribution of $10,000
from his organization to Nether
lands Ambassador J. H. Van
Roijen at 3 p. m. today in the
chancery of the embassy. B'nai
B'rith will also present $5000 to
Belgium Ambassador Baron
Robert Silvercruys at his home,
2300 Foxhall rd. nw., at 1:15 p. m.
today for Belgiun flood relief.
