Dutch Flood Toll at 1,783
Red Cross Reports 1,061 Persons
Are Still Missing

Dutch Red Cross authorities an
nounced today the total death toll
of last month's floods now stands
at 1,783.
The Red Cross said 690 bodies,
including 318 men and 372 women,
had been recovered and identified;
thirty-two bodies had been re-
I covered but not Identified, and
that 1,061 persons still were miss
ing, including 542 men and 519
women.
