Dutch Ex-Queen Asks World to
Build Spirit of Brotherhood

THE HAGUE, the Netherlands,
March 5Princess Wilhelmina, 74-
year old former Queen and the
mother of Queen Juliana, appealed
to the world today to "bujld for
the future" on the spirit of brother
hood displayed in last month's flood
disaster. The Princess declared in
a message:
"We invite all who read this,
if this idea fipds echo within you,
to make it known so that we can
learn to know each other. I am
sure those within whom this spirit
lives will wish to transfer it into
deeds. We stretch a hand to each
other and welcome every initiative
that has already blossomed or will
still unfold on this foundation."
The Red Cross stated today that
the dead and those listed as miss
ing in the flood now total 1,751.
