We are looking for candidates for the following positions in our Breskens office:
Vroon is an international shipping company with a fleet
of about 150 vessels and approximately 3,800 seafarers.
In addition, the company currently has more than 25
newbuilding vessels on order. With its head office based
in Breskens, the Netherlands, Vroon has offices in
Barendrecht, Terneuzen, Den Helder, Aberdeen, Stokesley,
Genova and Singapore. Vroon has about 300
shore-based employees.
At Vroon's head office approximately 100 staff support the
shipping activities. Areas of expertise include chartering,
operations, ship management and newbuilding project
management, plus the provision of ICT, accounting,
treasury, legal, personnel and administrative support.

ambitious teamplayers who excel in their area of expertise.
Accounting Manager (1 fte)
The Accounting Manager is responsible for monitoring all day-to-day
accounting functions for all Dutch Management Companies and the payroll
administration. You are also responsible for the monthly end closure, including
delivery of comprehensive financial reports. You keep Ihe accounting manual up
to date and you make sure that the work is done in accordance with company
guidelines and procedures, by ensuring accounting processes are aligned
across all Dutch Management Companies. You maintain and improve the
workflow and efficiency of the department, in this position you are responsible
for managing the performance of your team and development of the team
members.
To excel in this function you should have a Master's degree in Accounting,
Finance or related field with 10 years' working experience in a complex
accounting environment. You possess solid managerial experience with
ambition to drive the effective use of resources to meet department goals.
You have the ability to work and interact with all levels of team members
throughout the organisation and accounting teams within the Management
Companies. Excellent communication and reporting skills in English are
required

Reporting Supervisor (1 fte)
As Reporting Supervisor you are responsible, with a team of two Reporting
Specialists, for preparing the periodical group consolidations and the Dutch
part of the annual accounts and interim financial statements (for our partners,
banks and legal authorities]. This includes ensuring thai laws and regulations
related to financial reporting are implemented, controlling the accuracy and
completeness as well as analysing consolidating the financial information. In
addition, you provide advice to colleagues group wide, on individual level and in
project groups, related to reporting and accounting requirements. Furthermore,
you are responsible for developing and improving Vroon accounting policies and
reporting procedures worldwide.
To excel in this position you should have a Post Master's degree in Accountancy,
Controlling, Auditing or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years'-experience
in a similar position. You possess knowledge of Dutch and international law
and regulations related to financial information, Dutch GAAP and IFRS. You
are result oriented, focused on achieving deadlines and you are able to deal
with pressure Furthermore, you should have excellent verbal and written
communication skills in English.
