DEN HAAG - TNT zou bereid zijn
het voorgenomen aantal ontslagen
bij het postbedrijf te verlagen.
Voorstellen die de vakbonden gis
teren presenteerden tijdens een
overleg met TNT Post zouden daar
voor een goede basis vormen, al
dus Abvakabo FNV gisteravond.
Het overleg had plaats na een ei-
senbrief van de gezamenlijke vak
bonden. TNT noemde eerder een
aantal van 4500 gedwongen ontsla
gen, maar Abvakabo FNV vindt
dat onrealistisch. „Kijkend naar de
plannen van TNT, verwachten we
dat het genoemde maximale aan
tal van 4500 ontslagen nog hoger
ligt", aldus de bond.

AMSTERDAM - Vakcentrale FNV
gaat de onderhandelingen over
rrieuwe cao's komend jaar in met
een looneis van 2 procent. De eis
kan oplopen tot 3 procent als werk
gevers niet mee willen werken aan
afspraken over behoud van werkge
legenheid en betere kansen voor
jongeren, ouderen en flexwerkers.
De eis van FNV ligt hoger dan het
verwachte peil van 1,5 procent in
flatie in 2011. Het CNV zet in op
een loonsverhoging van 1,5 tot 2,5
procent. Naast behoud van koop
kracht wil de christelijke vakbond
dat, in de sectoren waar financiële
ruimte is, geïnvesteerd wordt in
meer en betere werkgelegenheid.
Met deze inzet gaan de CNV-on-
derhandelaars de cao-onderhande
lingen in.
UTRECHT - Het aantal dementeren
de Nederlanders zal binnen vier
decennia verdubbelen tot een half
miljoen. De kosten van de verzor
ging van deze mensen neemt in
dezelfde mate toe, van 7,5 miljard
per jaar nu tot 15 miljard euro. Dat
leert het World Alzheimer Report
2010. Een woordvoerder van Al
zheimer Nederland heeft dat giste
ren bevestigd. „Bijna alle vormen
van dementie zijn leeftijdsgerela-
teerd. Omdat de vergrijzing toe
neemt, nemen bijna alle vormen
van dementie toe."

Van Peel komt morgen niet met le
ge handen naar de achtste afleve
ring van de Nationale Zeeuwse
Oesterpartij in Middelburg. Vorig
jaar sprak hij daar nog barse woor
den over het uitblijven van de der

waren weggenomen, het eens wa
ren geworden over de Antwerpse
bijdrage aan de rampenbestrijding,
bleek het voor Vlaamse en Neder
landse juristen toch nog een heef
probleem de afspraken in een wa
terdicht akkoord te vatten. „Het is
nu nog een kwestie van millime
ters", verzekert Van Peel. Antwer
pen betaalt jaarlijks 150.000 euro
om de inzet bij calamiteiten te ver-
jten.

cratie verminderd. Plukkers hoe
ven niet meer op de eerste dag van
de pluk te melden dat ze zijn be
gonnen. De regelgeving is versoe
peld, waardoor mogelijk de drem-
pelom te plukken is verlaagd."
