Heuvellaan in Apeldoorn meld
den deze week vierde te zijn ge
worden met een plaatselijk slag-
baltoemooi, maar ook dat de
schooltuin in de prijzen is geval

ke kinderkanaal Z@pp dient het
nieuwe programma als platform
voor kinderen. Ze kunnen op
het beeldscherm teksten kwijt,
maar ook foto's en tekeningen
en in de toekomst waarschijn
lijk zelfgemaakte filmpjes. „Het
past in onze filosofie om kinde
ren te laten participeren", ver
telt Spierenburg.
De zendei'coördinator kwam op
het idee tijdens de grootschalige
Z@ppelin actie na de verwoes
tende tsunami in Azië. „Ik
kwam er destijds achter dat
scholen enorme behoefte had
den aan publiciteit over hun ei
gen inzamelingsacties, om te la
ten zien waar ze zich mee bezig
houden. Ze waren heel fanatiek
en hingen meteen aan de lijn als
we op onze website een letter
verkeerd over hun actie schre
ven. Dat bracht me op het idee
om een platform voor kinderen
te creëren waarop ze zelf kun
nen publiceren", zegt Spieren
burg.
Digitale schoolkrant
Z@pp Plaza is eigenlijk een
soort digitale schoolkrant, inclu
sief spelfouten. Spierenburg:
„Kinderen moeten de pagina's
zelf maken. Een voorwaarde die
wij stellen is dat het wel
'nieuws' moet zijn. Een goed
voorbeeld daarvan kwam afgelo-

pen week voorbij, toen te zien
was dat schoolkinderen een con
tract ondertekenden waarmee
ze beloofden elkaar niet te pes
ten. Heel grappig vond ik het
kind dat een paar dagen geleden
schreef benoemd te zijn tot 'pa
ginaprutser'. Dat zijn nou aardi
ge dingetjes."
„Mijn gevoel zegt dat andere
scholen het op televisie zien en
dat het programma zich automa
tisch ontwikkelt. Tal van scho
len heeft zich al aangemeld na
een oproepje van ons. Ik ver
wacht veel van bijvoorbeeld de
Kinderboekenweek, wanneer
veel scholen projecten hebben
waar kinderen over kunnen
schrijven. Ook dierendag kan
een leuke uitzending opleve
ren."
Van alle uitzendingen legt het
publieke kinderkanaal een ar
chief aan dat binnenkort be
schikbaar zal zijn op internet.

Het kinderprogramma is voor
zichtig geprogrammeerd op
schooldagen tussen een en twee
uur 's middags op Nederland 3.
Kijkcijfers tonen aan dat er
slechts een paar duizend men

VENETIE - De film Brokeback Mountain van de Chi
nees-Amerikaanse regisseur Ang Lee heeft dit weekeinde de
Gouden Leeuw van het 62e Internationale Filmfestival in Ve
netië gewonnen. De film gaat over de liefdesgeschiedenis van
twee Amerikaanse cowboys die begint in 1963 en twintig jaar
later eindigt.
De prijs voor beste actrice ging naar de Italiaanse Giovanna
Mezzogiomo voor haar rol in 'Le Bestia nel Cuore' van
Cristina Comincini. Beste acteur was de Amerikaan David
Strathairn in de film 'Good Night, and Good Luck' die gere

TILBURG - De leden van de Britse popband The Gorillaz be
ginnen in 2007 een wereldwijde tour waarin zij als driedimen
sionale cartoon-hologrammen op het podium verschijnen. Ie
der lid van de groep van zanger Damon Albarn. die in de ja
ren negentig populair was met de eveneens Britse groep Blur,
heeft een eigen tekenfilmkarakter dat in hun clips te zien is.
The Gorillaz traden eerder op als tweedimensionale teken
filmfiguren, maar daar had het gros van het publiek geen ho
ge pet van op.
Door het succes van het tweede album 'Demon Days' ont
stond de mogelijkheid om het nu grootser aan te pakken. Of
The Gorillaz met hun hologramshow Nederland aandoen,

AMSTERDAM - De film Paradise Now van de Neder
lands-Palestijnse regisseur Hany Abu Assad is op 18 septem
ber te zien in Palestijns gebied. De maker en hoofdrolspelers
Kais Nashef en Ali Suliman zijn aanwezig bij de première in
het Al Kasaba Theater in Ramallah.
Producent Augustus Film probeert ook een voorstelling in
Nablus te organiseren, de stad waar een groot deel van de
film is opgenomen. „Het was al bijzonder dat het ons was ge
lukt de film op te nemen in bezet gebied, maar het is net zo
uniek om de film ook hier in première te laten gaan", aldus
producent en co-scenarioschrijver Bero Beyer. ANP
