die met een groot verdriet leeft.
De 50-jarige Kempson, gespeeld
door Colin Friels, is getraumati
seerd door de zelfmoord van zijn
vrouw, 30 jaar geleden. Kempson
voelt zich verantwoordelijk voor
haar dood. Na de geboorte van
hun gehandicapte dochter pleegde
ze zelfmoord. Het was Kempson
die destijds aandrong het kind te
houden, hoewel hij en zijn vrouw
wisten dat de baby gehandicapt
ter wereld zou komen. Hij wordt
verteerd door schuldgevoelens.
Met zijn dochter, die psychische
en emotionele problemen heeft,
loopt het contact stroef en daar
naast heeft de rechercheur geldpro
blemen.
