strip, was met zijn marmeren voet
onmogelijk zwaar uitgevallen.
Cameraman Theo van de Sande
heeft nog eens een tijd lang vanuit
een rolstoel moeten werken, om
dat hij zijn exemplaar op zijn voet
had laten vallen. Waarna Mackaay
de opdracht kreeg het kalf nog
maals te ontwerpen, nu in een
lichtere uitvoering. Dat de nieuwe
versie gemakkelijker te hanteren
is, bewees Rijk de Gooyer in 1995
door zijn Gouden Kalf uit het
raampje van een taxi te gooien.
Een incidentje dat van weinig res
pect voor de ontvangen prijs ge
tuigde. Al bleek al snel dat het alle
maal door Rijk en zijn makker
Maarten Spanjer (van het tv-pro-
gramma Taxi) in scène was gezet.
