Het programma is volgens de pre
sentator luchtig, maar niet respect
loos geworden. Dat er kritiek gaat
komen op de vorm van het pro
gramma, daarop is de presentator
wel voorbereid. Is dat het risico
wel waard, gezien de recente op
hef over EO-programma's? Weg
ter: „De druk van het werk binnen
de Publieke Omroep en van de
achterban is groot. We moeten risi
co's nemen. Het is risicovol om als
Christen naar buiten te treden.
We hebben binnen de EO heel
veel gesprekken gevoerd. We had
den een halfjaar om over het pro
gramma na te denken, en dat is
heel lang. Er zijn bij de publieke
omroep veel programma's die ner
gens over gaan en dat mag ook,
want televisie is verstrooiend.
Maar dit is een pareltje".
