De nieuwe familieshow Popstars is
eigenlijk niet helemaal nieuw. Vier
jaar geleden zond RTL een soortge
lijk programma uit onder de titel
Popstars The Rivals. De twee groe
pen die daaruit ontstonden -
Men2B en Raffish - werden enkele
maanden later alweer opgeheven.
Nance: „We hopen nu echt een su
pergroep te kunnen samenstellen
die meer dan één hit scoort."
Volgens de presentatrice, die in de
jaren negentig zelf succesvol zange
res was moeten talentvolle kandi
daten die het niet tot die groep we
ten te schoppen vooral niet opge
ven. „Als je echt iets wilt, dan
moet je je droom nastreven. Die
boodschap probeer ik ze mee te ge
ven."
