Wat in 'De Match' vooral opvalt, is
hoezeer mensen aan zichzelf gaan
twijfelen als ze ergens van ver
dacht worden. Een van hen be
kent dat er momenten zijn dat je
jezelf of anderen gaat verdenken,
want wellicht heb je in een vlaag
van verstandsverbijstering gehan
deld.
Piet den Ouden, vader van drie zo
nen, en de overbuurman van de
vermoorde weduwe Jakoba Serné,
ontdekte het misdrijf, en zijn zoon
Felix had 's middags nog kroketten
bij 'tante Ko' gebracht. Hij merkte
dat hij zijn zonen ondervroeg, ook
al dacht hij dat ze er niet bij be
trokken konden zijn. „Ik ben mijn
eigen jongens gaan verhoren, om
van die onrust af te zijn", zegt hij.
