In de eerste aflevering is zowaar
ook er tijd voor wat uitstapjes. Zo
gaat Edjan een nieuw fornuis ko
pen in de grote stad en haalt hij
zijn moeder op, die op visite over
is uit Nederland. Ook gaat hij met
zijn kinderen een plek zoeken
voor een 'bushcamp', een plek in
de rimboe waar de gasten in ten
ten kunnen overnachten in de
vrije natuur.
De kinderen doen weinig anders
dan urenlang in de open auto zit
ten, maar hebben het reuze naar
hun zin. „Het enige dat ik verve
lend vind zijn de tetsi's (steekvlie
gen) en de hete zon." Een optimis
tische kijk op het leven, ja, dat
hoort er ook helemaal bij.
