gramma lagen na de opnames
zwaar onder vuur van natuurbe
schermers en milieuexperts. Zij
verklaarden dat het rondscheuren
over de zoutvlakte ecologische
schade zou hebben veroorzaakt.
De BBC veegde de beschuldigin
gen resoluut van tafel: „Wij heb
ben verschillende milieuexperts in
gehuurd", aldus een woordvoer
der. „Zij hebben onderzocht en ge
adviseerd waar we wel en niet kon
den filmen. We zijn niet in de
buurt van beschermd gebied ge
weest." Of de olifanten, giraffes,
nijlpaarden en andere wilde die
ren daar ook zo over dachten,
blijft natuurlijk de vraag.
