Het gaat van kwaad tot erger. Bos
is zich er bewust van, maar het
lukt hem niet er verandering in te
brengen. „Ik zie mezelf veel fouten
maken, en daardoor ga ik nog
meer aan mezelf twijfelen", analy
seert hij in een van de gesproken
dagboeken die hij op verzoek van
de documentairemakers heeft bij
gehouden. Naar buiten toe pro
beert Bos de moed erin te hou
den. In werkelijkheid is de totale
ontluistering nabij. Vlak voor het
laatste lijsttrekkersdebat van de
verkiezingscampagne zitten Bos
en een paar adviseurs maar wat bij
elkaar, zonder veel te zeggen. „Ie
mand nog een briljante gedachte?"
informeert Bos. Hij stuit op een
verslagen stilte.
